In 1968, a group of church ladies started a Toddlers Group.  Today, this group is still thriving - at present there are about 24 children.  This is a real community contact.  Church members oversee it and the children enjoy lots of playtime and join in a small act of worship together.

Tuesday  7.30pm  Friendship Group

The Tuesday Friendship Group is run by members (ecumenical in format) with occasional outside speakers.  The meetings are noted for their laughter, fun and fellowship.  The annual Lenten course, shared by friends from East Rainton Chapel, is an important part of the worshipping year.

Friday                   Luncheon Club

The Friday Luncheon Club is run by some church members and their friends under the auspices of Age Concern.  This is a lifeline to many people as they are not only given a home cooked meal but lots of fellowship as well.

Friday  2.00pm  Card and Craft Group

This group which formed in May 2009 meet for two hours on a Friday afternoon in one of the members homes.  All are welcome to come to meet new friends, exchange techniques or learn a new skill.  £2.00 includes tea and biscuits.

Friday  7.30pm  Ladies Group

The 7.30 Group meet fortnightly on a Friday.  This group of ecumenical and secular friends has a variety of speakers and numbers are increasing.

Saturday  9.45am  Coffee Morning

Our coffee mornings are held every Saturday.  They are organised and manned by the various groups of the church and are very, very popular with the community.  The schoolroom resounds with laughter, chatter and friendly banter.
